A fine Revolutionary War period Ship Captains' 10 sided reverse tapered single draw telescope by Peter & John Dollond, London, circa 1775.

A very nice example in original untouched condition measuring 26" closed and 32" extended. Signed in beautiful 18th century script on the end cap "Dollond, London." The tapered mahogany barrel shows normal wear for its' age but still retains its' original finish. The optics are remarkably good for a telescope of this age.
