A very nice example in good working order. Hornby (1810-1872) was appointed "Chronometer Maker to the Lords of the Admiralty." The enamel plaque on the front reads "Graham & Parkes, 43 Canning Place, Liverpool," who retailed chronometers and other navigational instruments from 1873-1888. The silvered dial has Roman numerals and solid gold hands. The case measures 7 3/8" by 7" by 7".
