A RARE and stunning Chelsea Ship's Bell "VANDERBILT" model 8 day desk clock made in January 1939

This rare and magnificent Chelsea ship's bell desk clock was made in January 1939. The "Vanderbilt" model was first introduced in 1937 in limited quantities and production ended in the 1950's. The clock was recently completely overhauled and serviced by a Certified Master Clockmaker. It keeps perfect time. It features a 3 3/4" hand silvered dial with original black lacquered spade hands. It strikes on the hour and half-hour as per ship's bells. Height: 6 3/4" Width: 6 3/4" Depth: 5 1/2" Weight: 6 1/2 pounds.
