A rare Small Boat Dry-Card Compass by Frye & Shaw of New York circa 1837-1845

Made by Addington Frye and Robert Ludlow Shaw of New York between 1837 and 1845, this wonderful small boat compass comes in its' original dovetailed box with sliding lid. The paint is very old, certainly 19th century. The box measures 6" by 6" by 4" high.
