A Rare Surveyor's Compass by Wellington, Crown Court, Soho, London circa 1800-1820

SOLD

Most likely made by Alexander Wellington or his wife Mary who took on the business after his death in 1812. The engraved silver dial is in wonderful original condition. Wellington was so highly regarded that he had the Royal appointment from the Dukes of Gloucester and Cumberland. The tripod is missing so it now sits on a custom made stand.
