A British or European naval boarding axe circa 1790-1820

In original untouched condition measuring nearly 18" long. Boarding axes were used from about 1750 to circa 1850. They were an extremely effective weapon in hand to hand combat. They were also used to clear deck of lines and broken timbers as well as to remove'hot shot' which caused devastating fires in board ships.
