A large and RARE early 18th century Dutch Admiralty Blunderbuss circa 1720

Other than a replaced brass muzzle band, this rare gun is in untouched original condition. It is massive and weighs 15 pounds and is 33 1/2" long with a wonderful two-stage cast bronze barrel ending with a cannon muzzle having a 1 1/4" bore. The walnut stock is 2 1/2" thick at the butt, the butt being a three-screw club butt. The barrel is stamped with the cross anchors of the Dutch Admiralty and has the letters O A D M for Admiralty of the Maas River.
