A Revolutionary War period composite knife with brass grip and Eagle head pommel

In excavated condition, this interesting knife has a brass grip, now dark green, with an Eagle head pommel, and a rusted and pitted blade. When and where this was dug up remains a mystery. Provenance: The William Guthman collection.
