This nice example has a curved single edged 23 3/4" blade. The silver lion head pommel is chased and engraved with eyes, sharp teeth and a flowing mane. The divided counterguard is chased and engraved with ribbons, four cutout panels and shell finials. The ivory grip is spirally fluted and has a few very small chips to the top and base. Overall, a very nice early example from the William Guthman collection.
