An early 19th c. American or British Naval 'Fighting' Dirk with 14" Blade

Brass mounted, this naval dirk clearly was used and not made for ceremony. The blade shows light pitting and the bone handle shows breaks with old repairs. Nonetheless, this is a nice example. Circa 1800-1810.
