The backstrap of this historic revolver is engraved "Lt.O.W.Bennett 102 Regt. U.S.C.T." for Orson W. Bennett, a white officer from Michigan who led his colored troops in 17 engagements during the civil war and who won the Congressional Medal of Honor for gallant and meritorious conduct. Accompanying this fine historic revolver is a ring binder containing copies of his military record.
