Scarce Martially Marked Massachusetts Militia COLT 2nd Model Dragoon Pistol

Having all matching serial numbers of 10459, this rare Colt Cal. 44 was made in late 1850. Usual configuration with 7 1/2" octagonal to round barrel, German silver front sight, brass trigger guard and backstrap with walnut grips. There is a large "M S" stamped just in front of the trigger guard. Overall condition: Very good to fine. The cylinder retains about 80% of the original Indian fight scene and all 6 safety pins are present. A true museum quality piece!!
