Unissued and Unfired Pair of French Model 1837 Percussion Naval Pistols

Both barrels retain the original bright metal and have "Model 1837" stamped on the top tang. The pistols are .62 cal, have 6" barrels and measure 11 1/2" overall. Both barrels are proofed on the right side. One is dated 1839, the other 1842. ORIGINAL LOCKS, HAMMERS and BELT HOOK. Butt caps with anchor and inspector's stamp. An exceptional pair of Naval pistols in unfired condition.
