A Fine 18th Century English Schoolgirl Needlework Sampler

This beautiful english schoolgirl needlework sampler is signed "Harriet Patterson" and dates to circa 1770-1790. It features a man and lady standing either side of a large double chimneyed English country house. In the foreground are sheep, cattle and deer. There are angels in the sky, a rose border and many other decorative elements. The overall condition is excellent with the colors bright and vibrant. The website photo is somewhat washed out and does not do justice to this fine sampler.
