An English Schoolgirl Needlework Sampler signed "Jane Rutherford, Aged 10, 1804."

This charming sampler is on linen and features a beautiful long stitch work depiction of a bird sitting in the branch of a tree. Very good overall condition and with some expected fading. In its' original period maple frame measuring 15 1/2" by 20".
