Rare Boston Blockfront Desk circa 1780

A magnificent Boston or North Shore mahogany block front and block lidded slant-front desk circa 1780. Original brasses and what I believe to be its' original surface. Great color and overall presence. Once owned by a wealthy merchant trading in mahogany and other commodities. Drawers lined with his old ledger pages dated 1812.
