A gorgeous antique Chinese Ming or Ching Dynasty silver mounted porcelain box

The cover of this box is made from a large fragment of porcelain salvaged from an antique vase from either the Ming or Ching Dynasty (14th-19th century). In the 1960's many ancient treasures were thoughtlessly destroyed by the Red Guards during the Cultural Revolution. The box was made from a large porcelain shard and mounted with Chinese silver. It is quite beautiful and rare.
