A large 19th century Staffordshire Platter by Thomas Mayer circa 1830

This beautiful platter is in the "Canova" pattern after the famous Italian sculptor Antonio Canova who died in 1822. Thomas Mayer had his factory in Stoke Upon Trent and produced wonderful porcelain and pottery objects until about 1850. The platter measures 22" wide by 18 1/4" high. There are no chips or cracks.
