A Pair of Chinese Export Porcelain "Mandarin Palette" Cider Jugs circa 1785-1790

Each of barrel form, painted in rose, purple, iron-red and green enamels with scattered rose bouquets and sprigs, butterflies and dragonflies, surrounded by an underglaze blue 'Fitzhugh' border at the rim. Condition: slight discoloration around the handle of one jug suggesting an early and expert repair. Height: 8 1/2"
