A 19th century metal sculpture of a shipbuilder holding a small ship in one hand and his tool in the other. Circa 1883.

Standing 19 1/2" high, this delightful figure was most likely made in France. On the bottom is a pencil inscription with the date 1883/84. There are initials on the back which appear to be either P E or J E. Condition: there are numerous minor scrapes but nothing serious.
