France's first great ship was launched by Cardinal Richelieu in 1636. He personally supervised her decoration and fitting out. Ornamentation was designed and created by the most famous craftsmen and artists of her day. This fine model has its' planking made of walnut and limewood while the masts and deck are made of mahogany. Her 42 cannons are made of solid brass, while the gun carriages are made of walnut. Other fine detailing include her blocks, deadeyes, belaying pins and deck grating all made of walnut. A highly decorative model at an affordable price. Complete with a custom made display case.
