A Charming 19th century Sailor made Woolwork of a British Man of War circa 1870

SOLD

This charming 'woolie' features a two deck British Man of War under full sail along with four corner roundels featuring Britannia, Jack Tar holding a naval ensign, a compass rose and finally a lighthouse with a ship in the foreground. There is some expected fading but for the most part the colors are rich and vibrant. Recently reframed in burled walnut with UV protected glass. The frame measures 22" by 18".
