A fine 19th century Ship in a Bottle mounted in a carved fretwork stand circa 1880-1900

SOLD

From the John Rinaldi collection, this fine and early ship in a bottle named "Gladys" is mounted on its' original hand carved fretwork stand. The ship itself fills the entirety of the bottle from the bottom to the very top and must have been quite a challenge to the maker/builder. The late 19th century green tinted bottle has all the old and expected signs of hand blown glass and is extremely attractive. Height with stand 12" width: 11"
