A Fine Sailor's Silkwork Featuring a Depiction of H.M.S. SUFFOLK and a photo of the Ship's Captain circa 1930

This famous Royal Navy cruiser was launched on March 16, 1926 and commissioned in 1928. She served on the china Station until the outbreak of WWII. In 1941, the Suffolk was involved in the sinking of the German battleship BISMARCK. This fine silkwork dates to circa 1930 and features a photo of the ship's captain.
