Illustrated on p. 122 in JACK TAR, A Sailor's Life 1750-1910,Marine Art and Antiques by J. Welles Henderson. Henderson was the founder of the Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia. This rare inlaid double compartmented razor box has included with it a whale-bone handled straight razor signed 'C. Gerber and Co., Toledo, Ohio.' The case was designed to hang on a bulkhead.
