The pressed glass and silver plated pitcher stands 12 inches high. On the lid are two stars flanking the initials 'GD' and the name of his ship the USS Olympia. Accompanying the pitcher is a signed framed photo dated 1903 with a note as follows: "To Lt. J.W. Crawford with the sincere friendship of George Dewey."
