Fine 19th Century Sailor-Made Ship Model With Whalebone Fittings Circa 1860

This is one of the best sailor-made folk art models of the mid-nineteenth century that I have ever seen!! The profuse use of whalebone and whale ivory fittings are simply wonderful. Length: 19 1/2" Height: 15 1/2". Comes complete with a custom fitted mahogany case.
