Perhaps the finest and oldest ship's mast head lamp on the market today!! The front is boldly signed "Barclay, Phillips & Co., 17 Anderson Quay, Glasgow." Thick hand blown bulbous glass lens which predates the Freznel lens. Rear hinged door with sliding latch. Original silvered parabolic reflector. The lamp has a heavy pivoting bail handle on the top fitted with a rotating cast brass eye. Original mounting brackets. The only thing replaced is the copper oil font and glass chimney. Overall, this fine and rare ship's lamp is in museum quality condition. Weight: 18 pounds, Height: 22", Width: 12 1/2"
