A nice pair of early 18th century Dutch pewter candlesticks depicting a Butcher and a Baker

These charming candlesticks measure over 9" high. The pewter touchmark features a lady holding a sword in one hand and a set of scales in the other. At the top of the touch mark are the initials C.A.K. and at the bottom the date 1708. Both candlesticks are further engraved with the initials "G Sch" and the date of 1793 which may have represented a birthday, anniversary or other special occassion. A wonderful and charming pair of pewter candlesticks.
