An early 19th century English Silver-Gilt Baby Rattle with Bells, Whistle and Coral Stem

Measuring 6 1/2", this wonderful child's rattle retains much of its' original silver gilt. The maker's mark is somewhat difficult to make out but it appears to be 'L M.' Of the eight original bells, two are now missing, one from each tier. Nevertheless, considering its' age and its usage, it is in remarkably good condition.
