A 19th century whalebone walking stick with whale ivory knob and baleen inlays circa 1850

This very attractive sailor-made walking stick measures 35 3/4" long. There are 12 rectangular baleen inlays and two abalone inlays. Condition: The shaft was broken sometime in the 19th century and a four sided brass band was placed over the break. There is also a small replaced piece of whalebone near one of the baleen inlays.
