A beautiful 18th century hand colored engraving of over 160 National and Maritime Flags by Nicolas Bellin, Paris, 1756

Just a delight to look at. This engraving, entitled "Tableau Des Pavillons Que Le Pluspart Des Nations Arborent A La Mer," appeared in Bellin's L' Hydrographie Francois. It was published by M De Machault, Keeper of the Royal Seals of France, in 1756, but was engraved by Bellin, who was the Map Maker to the King. Beautifully framed and matted measuring 32" by 28."
