A beautiful late 19th/early 20th century scrimshawed whale's tooth with War of 1812 Battle of Lake Erie.

One side features a very well executed depiction of the famous War of 1812 "Battle of LAKE ERIE." The reverse side depicts an American spread wing eagle sitting on top of a large naval cannon with the American flag in the background surrounded by stars. Fabulous color and patina. length: 6"
