A beautiful late 19th or early 20th century patriotic themed scrimshawed whale's tooth

SOLD

One side depicts Lady Liberty, the Liberty cap on a pole in one hand and the American flag in the other with an eagle near by. The other side depicts the important American victory over the British on Lake Champlain on September 11, 1814, during the War of 1812. The tooth itself has a wonderful original patina and measures 6" long.
