A Boxed Set of Antique Ivory Alphabet Tiles made in France circa 1850-1875

Consisting of 112 large ivory tiles with engraved upper case letters inked in navy blue, this fine set comes in its original divided box. The lid is inscribed 'Jeu Du Sphinx' and the inside has a description written, of course, in French. The box measures 7 1/4" x 3 3/4" x 1 1/2"
