A Charming 19th Century American Scrimshawed Whale's Tooth depicting a whaling scene circa 1860.

A Charming, folk-art style, sailor-scrimed whale's tooth measuring 6" by 2 3/4". One side depicts a whaling scene, the other with a lady holding two American flags surmounted by a flying fish. Third quarter of the 19th century. Some old chips to the inner edge of the base of the tooth. Great color and patina!
