A Charming Brass Inlaid Tortoiseshell Box circa 1830

Possibly used for sewing implements, this beautiful little box has an exquisitely engraved rectangular panel inset into the lid. The inner edges of the box are lined with ivory and the box retains its' original purple velvet interior. The box also sits on four ivory feet. W 3", D 2 1/4" H 1 1/2".
