Tooth length: 7" weight: 1.6 oz. This antique whale's tooth is scrimed on both sides with scenes of an important naval engagement during the War of 1812 and is taken from Bowen's Naval Monument published in 1838. It depicts the USS Wasp boarding and capturing HMS Frolic on Oct. 18, 1812. Condition: There are two vertical age cracks rising from the bottom, each about 1" long. There is also a slight chip to the pointat the tip and a slight chip on the base.
