A Fine Set of Four Original Hand Colored Whaling Prints Published by W. Lizars of Edinburg in 1837

Published as part of the "Natural History of the Ordinary Whale" in 1837, this charming set of four engravings depicts the art of whaling, which most people of that time did not understand. The prints themselves measure 6" by 4" but with custom mats and frames they measure 18 1/2" by 15 1/2".
