A Fine Uncancelled Revolutionary War Note Payable to Jonathan Riley, Commander of the Privateer 'HERO'

SOLD

Issued by the State of Connecticut and dated June 1, 1780, this note is in virtually mint condition. Jonathan riley enlisted in 1775 and joined the 8th Connecticut Regiment. In 1778 he was commander of the Privateer 'HERO', a sloop carrying 6 guns and 40 men.
