An historic document signed by our Fourth President James Madison on June 10, 1809. The Schooner 'Maria' was captained by Joseph Robson and carried a cargo of flour, lard, fish and lumber and was travelling from New York to St. Bartholomew. The document was signed by Madison and David Gelsten, collector of taxes for New York. Both the Great Seal of the United States and the Seal of New York are fully intact. The document has now been beautifully framed and has museum glass. Measurements: 24" by 20"
