A Highly detailed Whalebone model made in the Azores of a 19th century Whale Boat

This beautiful example was made by A.S. Luz of the Azores in the 1970's or 1980's. It is completely made of whalebone and includes oars, steering sweep, harpoon, keg, lines and even an axe to sever the line. Case measurements: W 26" H 23" D 10".
