A Historically Important Nelson Related Document

This hand drawn watercolor of the signal flags hoisted the evening before the Battle of Trafalgar sending the message that "England expects every Man to do His duty" is signed and dated 1866 by the very midshipman who came up with the message. He later became a Rear Admiral in the British Navy and his daughter signed a sworn affidavit in 1883 about her father's significant role in sending that maessage. That affidavit is on the reverse of the watercolor drawing. This is clearly a museum piece which is still in private hands.
