"A Plan of the City & Fortifications of Louisberg" Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, printed in 1748 for The London Magazine

The purpose of this city was purely military. Its fort was completed in 1738 and held 580 soldiers, 480 French and 100 Swiss. It was a strategic location for the French and the British wanted it resulting in the siege of 1745. Excellent condition and now framed and matted. Frame size: 10 3/4" by 8 1/4"
