A scrimshawed walrus tusk with silver end cap

While I have examined this tusk very carefully, I cannot determine with certainty that this piece is a copy. There are several breaks and cracks which look to be real. Also, there is the issue of the silver end cap. Why would somebody put this on a fake. Anyway, I am selling this piece "as is." Length: 18"
