A wonderful 19th century Whalebone Fid measuring 5 1/8"

Great color and patina! Condition: The knob has a raised section with a drilled hole 1/8 inch in diameter and going in approximately 1/32 of an inch, perhaps to hold some form of inlay which is now missing.
