An American scrimshawed Whale's Tooth with polycrome decoration circa 1850

Engraved in black and red ink with a ring-necked pheasant perched on a branch on one side with an American eagle holding a ribbon banner inscribed "E PLURIBUS UNUM" in his beak below 14 stars. His talons are clutching a black and red shield above crossed laurel branches and the base is surrounded by a diamond border. Complete with a custom made tiger maple display stand. Height: 6". Condition: a small chip to the tip and two vertical full length age cracks running up the center of the tooth.
