An Outstanding Large Pair of 19th Century Sperm Whale Teeth

From the same whale, these beautiful teeth have wonderful color and patina and measure 8 7/8" x 3 3/4" and 8 1/2" x 3 3/4" respectively, weighing 1 lb. 13 oz. and 1 lb 12 oz. respectively. Adding to the charm and history are what appear to be original 19th century 'file' marks on the back of each tooth as they were being prepared for scriming, which never happened.
