The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, The Handy Stratford Edition, 13 vols., circa 1890-1900.

This very nice set of the Complete Works of William Shakespeare are housed in a lovely linen covered box with gilt title. The box measures 9 3/4" wide by 4" high by 5 1/2" deep. The set is called The Handy Stratford Edition and was published by David McKay in Philadelphia circa 1890-1900. Each of the volumes have gilt edges. Although there is the usual wear to the corners and edges of the box, the books themselves are in very good condition with only minor toning around the steel engraved illustrations.
