The Siege of Quebec of 1759 published in the Grand Magazine of Universal Intelligence in Oct. 1759

SOLD

Historical note: British General Wolfe tried unsuccessfully to mount several attacks on Quebec in early 1759. After much disagreement with his officers, a final attempt was made to land troops and to mount an attack in late summer. After a battle which lasted only 15 minutes, the French General Montcalm was defeated. This highly detailed map shows the positions of the troops and the British fleet. Frame size: 26" by 23"
